Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

One of the best. Always consistent and always great food!! The owners and staff have always been great to me and aim to please. Glad House of Pizza has existed since my childhood and long into my ride as an adult. They are a fixture in our town and we wouldn't want it any other way.

What a place! No frills at all which is right up my alley. This is literally a house of pizza (a house with a pizza shop in it). So many pizzas to choose from, plus calzones, side dishes, and more. The friendliest waitress ever. Great country tunes playing, comfortable booths. Feel like having a cold one in the outdoor patio overlooking Portland Street....you got it! Oh, you also want to cross the street afterwards for an ice cream cone? Go ahead! I had a great time here.

Our high school football team travelled to St Johnsbury for a pre-season game. he entire team, coaches and a number of parents all descended upon this place at one time around 8pm. The coach had arranged in advance for pizza for all of the players. As we arrived pizza was delivered quickly to the players, and devoured equally fast! I had none of the pizza but the consensus from players indicated it was good. My wife and I ordered food for ourselves. A chicken ceasar wrap, oops out of chicken! Ok, a meatball sub and a pasta with meatballs. The place was very hectic, with all of our players plus a few tables of people not part of our group. Nonetheless the service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. They appeared to not be at all stressed by the large crowd. Anyway on to the food. My wifes meatball sub was delivered and I was told my pasta was on the way. As time went on players started preparing to leave and I still had no food. I asked them to prepare it to go with plans to eat on the drive home. They apologized repeatedly for the delay, delivered my food to go and gave me a certificate for a free pizza on a future visit. The pasta was not great. The meatballs and sauce were very good. The service was exceptional. Having worked in the food industry for more years than I care to remember I understand what is like when a group that large all want to eat at the same time. I was very pleased with how much they tried to make sure I was pleased. Next time in town I'll be by for my free pizza!

Every town in Massachusetts seems to have a "Town Name House of Pizza" at which one can expect an almost exact duplicate of the pizza made at the "Town Name House of Pizza" in the next town. These are often owned by Greek folks who frequently offer tasty Greek specialties on the menu, along with very competent Italian dishes. This us only fair, since the Romans revered the Athenian culture so much they duplicated aspects of it and its art extensively. So when visiting St. Johnsbury, we more-or-less knew what to expect at St. Johnsbury House if Pizza. We did get a pizza that could have been made in Malden or Tewksbury. There didn't seem to be any staff with Greek heritage on duty. (Maybe that's why they seemed so unhappy.) They did offer a Greek pizza, but we didn't try it. The two Greek menu items we did try were disappointing, factory made and loveless. Usually a restaurant loses a star for having a television. These folks get an extra for not having one. Though it was sign-heavy: "Use This Door" (with an arrow to the other one), and "This Area Closed" (blocking half the dining room, why? Just vacuumed?). We've only been there once, and might go again. It's easier to forgive, however, when the flaws come with a smile.

Quite good pizza. My wife and I have had plain old pepperoni twice, and it was good both times. The crust is of medium thickness and has a subtle crispy quality to it. For the pizza alone, I give House of Pizza four stars. Now, we also tried the mozzarella sticks, which were some peculiar pan-fried things (in other words, it was the normal deep-fried product but cooked in a pan instead). I'm willing to forgive those because the pizza was good. Recommended.

Wow! Good pizza. Crispy crust - not new York style- more like pizza hut, but good. Conveyor oven not traditional . Friendly service, but you have to go up and place order and get your own plates once the pizza is delivered. Greek-owned, so there was some pita based foods as well as baklava.

I am definitely a fan. This was a quiet, unobtrusive place when you need to meet with your recently-divorced father for a cozy family meal. Sarcasm aside, the food is good and the place is clean.

Great pizza. Crust is awesome. Atmosphere a bit dated but doesn't affect your meal at all. Order at the counter. Don't wait for a waitress. There isn't one

This is probably the best pizza and sub shop in the St Jay area. Been run by the same family for years, its good and consistent. Nothing fancy or exciting however. It is VT and the North East Kingdom, after all. Small dining room with booths, no table service. Located on Portland Street next to Citizen's Bank and Trust.
